When it comes to cars, less is never more. Except when it comes to Se7ens. Or in this case, an actual Seven (Caterham holds the exclusive rights to the name “Seven”). We’re saying “less” because the CDX offers just 135 hp from a 1.6-liter Sigma mill. But if you’ve ever driven a Se7en you know that 135 ponies is more than enough. Especially considering the whole package weighs just 1,210 pounds. And check out what else the CDX comes with: 5-speed manual, limited slip-diff, push-button start, matte black finish, superlight alloy wheels, a Momo wheel, special graphics and a track day roll cage. Bits of carbon fiber trim, too. CDX stands for ‘Caterham Driving Experience’ and the car exists to celebrate 15-years of sideways, tire-smoking education. And if you buy one, you get some free schooling. How much? About $35,000. But Caterham’s only making 20 examples. And none are coming to the US. Sigh… Once again, sigh…
