Mitsubishi’s good looking EVO X has only been on the streets for a month or so now — so we’re surprised it’s taken this long to see tuner packs coming from JUN and Cosworth. The latter’s solution to the 4B11’s problematic 295 horsepower is the easiest to swallow. A new-fangled head will provide a new combustion chamber design as well as larger valve openings.  No specific word on power, but a 10% boost seems a conservative guess. JUN on the other hand is taking the Detroit solution — displacement. That’s right, they’ve got a stroker kit for the 4B11 adding 300 cc’s of fury for a total of 2.3-liters.  Again, more power and torque are promised, though the numbers are absent. Put the two kits together and you’d have one hell of an EVO, even if you never find out how much power. [Cheers to JPCN for aggregating the content]
