family Porsche Releases 09 911 Stats

America is getting a heaping helping of German sports car come September, with four refreshed 911 models hitting dealerships. The new comers—the 911 Carrera Coupe, 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S Coupe and 911 Carrera S Cabriolet—will all sport new flat-six engines with first-time-ever direct fuel injection. The 3.6 liter Carrera offers 345 horsepower, 20 more kickin’ ponies than the previous base engine. And the S models? How about 30 extra horses for a grand total of 385, boosting the car’s top speed to around 188 mph. The company is also offering a seven-speed double-clutch tranny for the first time in ’09. Supposedly, the combination of the super-swank gearbox and direct fuel injections is good for 13 percent better fuel economy over older models, even with the extra power. Isn’t technology great? Did we mention they’re going to cost more? Check the gallery for shots.
