porscheagon Van Eleven? Porscheagon? Vanarrera? Whatever Its Called, We Want It.

The Volkswagen Vanagon holds a special place in my heart. I grew up fighting for shotgun, learning how to drive a stick and sweating across the country on Griswold-rivaling family vacations in a Vanagon. This is of course why I was especially impressed today when I encountered this monster lumbering eastward on the 10. I only had time to snap a couple pics, but check this ill canine out. Complete with black 911 rims, red Porsche calipers up front and the iconic “carerra-style” logo emblazoned across the sill. We can only assume and hope… that it’s also 911 powered. But with the flat-6 engine note bubbling out of those mean-looking chrome exhaust tips, we think our assumption’s safe.. Bonus points for the yellow lenses up front and Martini Racing decal on the rear. One more pic after the jump.

Chris Hull over at Autofiends shot what we hope is such a Vanagon in SoCal; if it’s for real, we approve strongly. [Autofiends] [...]
