There’s a new kid on the European race circuit block, and unlike the other venues out there, this one is geared toward green technology. A combination of city rallies, drag races and circuit events, the Enviro Sports Car Series offers manufacturers the ability to show off their green mettle. Each car must have a carbon foot print of no larger than 120 g/km of CO2, total. The series is inviting all manufacturers to enter any green coupe or convertible for the challenge. Each company will be allowed and entry of two cars to be piloted by a professional and celebrity driving team. So far, the series is only slated for European locals, but who knows; maybe it’ll head to the states eventually. No word on which manufacturers have chosen to participate, but with any kind of technology an option to improve on speed/green credentials, it’ll be interesting to see who hits the tarmac and with what. We Fiends hope the Furai Concept will show up for competition. And in our driveway.
