Autoblog, by way of Autocar, is reporting that Maserati is considering an “entry level” coupe and they’d like to move 6,000 of ‘em. Those of us that survived the 80s instantly had our heads filled with images of leaky Biturbos with bits of engine in various boxes and decomposing rubber. I know I’ve spent countless hours talking myself out of “Sitting for 6 years. Was running. Needs work” Bitrubo posts on craigslist. But, that’s probably not what Maser’s up to. The proposed car will cost at least $80,000 and might even have a V8. Though, if Ferrari is working on a Turbo V6 we have little doubt that engine will also show up in this little guy. Maserati?
