World Car Fans has captured some fantastic shots of the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide - upcoming four door saloons from the two resolutely sports car firms. And they were together, of all places, on the Nurburgring. It shouldn’t come as a terribly big surprise, since everybody tests their high performance models (and low performance cars - ahem, Nissan Sentra) on the ‘Ring these days. So it just comes as a particularly Fiendish one. Since these two cars are destined to share cover space on every buff book from here to Sydney, the early matchup is welcome. I already have my preferred car, the Aston. While its 480 horsepower 6.0 liter V12 will pale in comparison to the likely 560 bhp of the turbocharged V8 Porsche, I can’t be bothered. The Aston just shreds my emotions; I think it looks like a model clad in a slinky black dress at an embassy party.
