Surprised? Yeah, us neither. There was no doubt in our minds that the newest addition to the Bugatti fam would be damn fast. The Grand Sport, as the topless beauty is called, will be blessed with the same quad-turbo, 8.0-lilter, 1,001 horse W16 uber-engine as its more reserved brethren, meaning that it should be able to nail down a 2.5 second 0-60 without breaking a sweat and stretch its legs to 252 mph. The company doesn’t say whether that’s with or without the removable roof over your head, but you’d have to be as crazy as this car is to run up to that speed with nothing but your wind-swept hair between you and the great beyond. The car will make its debut on August 16 at Pebble beach with the first Grand Sport ever produced to be auctioned off for charity (i.e. bring someone else’s checkbook).
