cadillac catera tan 2000 Cadillac RWD Four Banger Headed Our Way

Despite the disaster that was the “Caddy that Ziggs” (cough, not really, cough) Catera we’re actually pretty excited about this news. Cadillac has passed down the word that a rear drive four banger model is bound for U.S. sales. There’s a chance the car will come with forced induction, and odds are that the lower power numbers will result in a manual gear box. Turbo four sedan + third pedal = hooning glory. Well, maybe not glory, but at least a heaping amount of fun. Especially if the engine is a turbocharged EcoTec unit. The car will be positioned under the CTS and should hit show rooms by late 2010 as a 2011 model. Maybe by that time fuel prices will be so steep even hardcore Caddy lovers will see the benefit of a smaller displacement. See? Gas prices aren’t all bad. [Motor Authority]
