Here’s some news to take the wind out of your Fiendish sails. [Fiendish sails? -- Ed] Turns out the much anticipated MG TF roadster has no future in the land of the freedom fries. Early on it looked like there would be an assembly plant right here in Oklahoma, but the deal fell through for reasons beyond us. We’ll just have to sit here and watch as Europe gets all the Chinese-manufactured drophead fun. Somewhere around 500 of the little cars are already being built in England at Longbridge as you read this, with another three MG models in the works soon. I must say that I would’ve loved to stick it to a few upiddy Miata drivers with one of these Sino-Brit babies. Sigh. [Source: Carscoop]
