viper srt10 acr Dodge Viper ACR: New King O Der Ring?

Looks like the ZR1 has already been dethroned as the reigning monarch of Green Hell just weeks into its supercharged reign of power. Hot on the heels of the news that Chrysler is looking at the highest bidders for the Viper name comes this blistering video of an SRT10 ACR doing the nasty in just 7 minutes and 22.1 seconds. That’s a full 4.3 seconds faster than the bad-ass Bow Tie. The video comes to the webs from the guys at Motortrend, so there’s a good chance the time is legit, if not official. The Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR is essentially a street-legal track car, but you know what Lieberman would say: racing is cheating. Click over for a look at the video and try not to wince as the big V10 stays planted in the rev limiter. Also, is Chrysler brilliant or stupid for contemplating selling Viper. On the one hand, a ‘Ring title will command more $$$. On the other, you can’t buy cred like that — no way, no how.
