The folks at ClassicsCars.com (yes, it reads like ClassicScars.com) have not one, not two, but FIVE Peugeot 205 T16 rally cars for sale. A little back story: the 205 T16 was Peugeot’s entry into the Group B rally lunacy of the 1980s. The engines were mounted transversely in the hatch, power was routed to all four wheels, and the horsepower rating was simply represented as . Since Group B required homologation, Peugeot ostensibly built 200 T16 cars for the street. The examples at ClassicsCars are phenomenally appealing: an immaculate 1 km (yes, really) street car built for rally driver Jean Todt himself with a magnesium 6 speed; a 30.000 km street version; a factory EVO prototype with full test history; finally a championship T16 with 8 victories and 460 horses under its belt. There’s no word on prices, but considering ClassicsCars is in Europe you can anticipate intense savings account discomfort should you want to pick up one of these cars. They also have a new policy, which requires you to come over to my house and let me drive it.
