tdi Josh Hurley Takes TDI Cup Portland

The young pilots of the TDI Cup shook Portland’s International Raceway with diesel fury last weekend, finishing up with a win for 23 year-old Josh Hurley. Hurley finished all 20 laps of the competition a full six seconds ahead of team ViON’s Liam Kenney. Of the 30 drivers that took the field, all but five crossed the finish line with most of the DNF’s resulting in brushes with the tire wall. While Hurley and Kenney’s performance was impressive all around, team Aggreko’s Caleb Kenney served up some fiendish driving, coming from his 18th place grid position to land a ninth overall finish. The TDI combatants will head for Lime Rock in Connecticut on August 16 for the next competition. Drop by and enjoy the wheel-to-wheel show. Jump for the results of the Portland race, as well as a vid of what the cup is all about, set at good old VIR.
