From behind the wheel the Reventon feels very similar to it’s Murcielago cousin. The 10hp difference is unperceivable but the brakes feel more capable, which is good because the looks of the car turn normal passers by into crazed zombies meandering towards you in search of brains. (Hit the jump for more…)

I spent more time braking for people that were mesmerized by the car and had wandered into my path than for hairpins. Maybe some of it is just Italian passion or something but one man stood next to the car screaming something to his friend 30 yards away while staring at the Reventon in a convulsive state like Cramer making a particularly big entrance into Seinfeld’s apartment.
This is an exceedingly exciting car to drive with 650hp thrusting all 4 wheels, knife edge steering and enough grip to make a driver want a G suit But it’s the additional emotion that the beast evokes from every angle outside of the driver’s seat that makes the Reventon one of kind. It’s a car that you don’t have to imagine too hard what it would be like to drive. Just look into its lines for a few seconds and you can just about feel it!

[...] One-third of American Top Gear, Tanner Foust, spent a day in the Lamborghini Reventon, and here’s his verdict: “Thumbs up big girl!” The fractional bit of additional horsepower didn’t mean much to him, but he did say the brakes were more capable, and, surprise, the car is quite wide and people like to stare at it. After six hours on Italy’s B-roads, that basically sums up his impressions. Since he didn’t have too much to say in print, we really do hope he’s saving the zingers for the show… [Source: AutoFiends] [...]
