The gents at the UK’s CAR magazine have taken Nissan’s EV mule - wearing Cube clothing - for a major test drive. And they’ve got good news to report. First, they say the 24 Li Ion batteries can match Nissan’s 3.5 liter VQ V6 for torque. Even better, it’s utterly silent and can give an 80% recharge in 30-60 minutes; a full recharge is looking more like 8 hours. With a range of about 60 miles, it’s enough for a very solid commuter car - and an extremely quick one, too: engineers told CAR they are anticipating a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds for the production model. While it won’t look like a Cube, exactly what the Nissan EV will look like is still under wraps. The most we know is that it will have unique sheetmetal and that it will be either B or C segment sized. Check out their article for pictures and more commentary.
