alfawag1 Rare & Italian: Alfa Romeo Giulia Super Pronto

Sadly, there isn’t a whole lot of info on these totally rare Pronto wagons. Here’s the big deal: Not many Giulias were wagons to begin with. And most of those (called “Giulia Colli”) had glass between the C and D pillars. Not the semi-panelled Pronto — it was intended for Police work and race support. This car is known in Italy as the Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1600 Speciale. But, we’re kinda in love with Pronto — both the word and this slick little wagon our buddy Rory sent in. In the words of Davey G Johnson, “I’d drive that.” And how.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I haven’t been able to keep up with your internet travelings, but Jonny, I thought you weren’t be biggest Alfa fan. Has something changed or was it just Fantasy Garage applicant Alfa’s that you didn’t like?

    Red,

I never got to finish the Fantasy Garage….

Nothing’s touched that yet. Sort of like a weekly Alp to climb compared to Murilee’s daily rock wall of Dots. Nice morsel, but once in a while you need whole plate full.
