Steve Saleen (yes, that Saleen) and SMS Supercars has just released the 296 Supercharger designed specifically for the 5.7 and 6.1-liter Dodge Hemi. The release comes just before the company will show off their 570 and 570X Challengers rocking, not surprisingly, the 296 blower. Those cars are expected to produce 600 and 700 horses respectively. The 296 Supercharger uses all kinds of neat tricks, including dual thin-core intercoolers that keep unwanted heat at bay, and longer runners than competitors, allowing for a lower profile (undoubtedly to fit under the Challenger’s hood). The whole package is powder coated for a super-slick look that can match any Mopar color. These suckers aren’t just for Challenger owners, either. They’ll fit on just about anything that has Dodge’s wonder mills under the hood. Not too shabby.
