Now this is bad ass. The guys over at Harman Motive in Torrance, CA, dropped two fairly simple modifications on the GT-R and cooked up 50 extra ponies and the same in torque — all on pump gas. Like it needs it, on their car, power jumped from 401 horsepower and 393 lb-ft of torque at the wheels to 450 horses and 448 lb-ft. So you wanna know what they did, right? First the mad scientists over at Harman Motive plopped a Cobb Accessport Stage 1 ECU tune on the car, followed by their very own mid-pipe. The special tubing ditches the secondary catalytic converters and center muffler. With a 76mm diameter throughout, the pipes loosen up restriction on the exhaust end of the engine. With the new hardware installed, the guys bumped up the power again with a Stage 2 Accessport ECU tune, successfully remapping the GT-R’s ECU. And that’s it. We’re having a hard time wrapping our heads around 50 wheel horses from two simple bolt-ons. That pretty much cinches it. We need this car. Hit the gallery for the dyno sheet. Impressive!
