muppet1 British Jim Henson Fan Frustrates German Popo

We really like this guy. In Germany, traffic cameras are set up to get a picture of the driver’s face. As opposed to here in America where thieves can steal your car, run red lights and stick you with a ticket. No really. Maybe Germany is a more genteel society than ours, or they believe in the 4th Amendment, but the 5-0 cannot issue a ticket without having proof that the person driving the car was in fact behind the wheel. And some bloke with a right-hand drive British car is frustrating the hell out of German traffic cops. How? By sticking a big old stuffed Muppet in the passenger seat of his Audi A4 Avant — where the driver would normally be. Here’s a quote from a German police source, “This may be an example of the famous British sense of humour but it is still dangerous driving. The driver has been caught on camera on several occasions and the puppet is on the passenger seat every time. We suspect he positions the toy deliberately before accelerating past the camera.” Like I said, we really like this guy. Or, as Yogi Berra would say, “Only in America.” Thanks Drew! [Source: BoingBoing]
