Well friends, there she is sitting in the Autofiends holding bay (on the left). While she’ll never be called a beauty, we’re thinking the gunmetal gray is a hell of a lot more becoming than the “take my license, please” red car Levy got to bomb around British Columbia. And if you’re curious, the blue ‘Rexer wagon is my car (please ignore the front end damage — these are the droids, etc). Already I can tell you there are many things changed about this suddenly refreshed for 2009 rally rep compared to the ‘08 car. Compared to the 2006 car? Night and nearly day. Now, Levy really liked the WRX up on a private rally stage, but I’m going to find out how the new car handles in normal, everyday driving situations. And by that I mean on some of the Angeles National Forest’s twistiest roads. Which means I gots to get up early, so good night!
