Yes, your read right—that’s Ride of the Week, not Car. Actually had a slight dearth of press cars since the screaming yellow Gallardo we’ve been creaming over. I guess there’s some karma there. But thanks to our good friend Wes Siler at our favorite bike site, Hell For Leather Magazine, a beautiful red Ducati made its way into the back of the Ford F150 I drive when a press car isn’t in my driveway. I’ll be reviewing it for Hell For Leather and will throw up some impressions here too. I’ve been biking most of my life and generally Ducatis are my street weapons of choice. The Sport 1000S here is one from Ducati’s SportClassic line, and this particular bike is optioned up with trick Ohlins suspension, Termignoni megaphones and a Café racer style full fairing. A big run over some of our usual fave mountain roads yesterday has left me slightly crippled from the insanely uncomfortable riding position, but with some good thoughts on the machine otherwise. She sure is purdy too! More to come. Any other bike fans here?

Yes Yes!!! Bikes good!! More bikes!! Especially Ducatis. Now that Nicky Hayden is riding for Ducati I might have to trade my ‘02 RC51 in for a Duc.
