newport SEMA: Another Drop Top Challenger

What the automakers won’t, the aftermarket will! As is the case with the second drophead Challenger we’ve seen slated for debut at the center of the aftermarket universe, SEMA. This Mopar is the product of Newport Convertibles. Details are sketchy at best, but we’re guessing the swap can be made on the base Challenger or the bad boy SRT8. Coach Builders — the maker of the first topless Challenger we saw — could do the deed for around $16,000 on top of the base price, so the final price tag for Newport Convertibles’ model should be in the same ball park. We’re still not convinced that kind of coin is worth it. But hey, convince us. [Source: MotorAuthority]
