Looks like the Rossi 66 will have some company in the retro C6 Corvette category. Christian Cyrulewski has got it into his head the world needs another dose of ’69 Corvette Stingray, and has set about mixing the muscular looks of that car with the all-out performance of the C6. The car is slated for production, and should be finished in time for the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Cyrulewsky is also working on a 427 version of the car, powered by—you guessed it—a 427 cube big-block from Katech. Along with the billy-bad motor, the car will also sport a unique hood and the side-exit exhaust of the original. With the C6 already bearing so many influences from the ’69, we’ve got to wonder if it’s worth the work. [Source: MotorAuthority]

There have been a lot of Franken-Corvettes to grace these pages and those of many other sites like this one and this is the very first that I’ve felt anything for. Maybe, maybe, I could like any of the Stingray conversions, but those cars are cars I’d like to own. I know that C3s are crap cars, but I still want one. this seems like it would be the best of both worlds, though taking the hit of owning a terrible car just to own a 69 Corvette is where the real class lies.
Looks very good. I like how it did something interesting with the rear glass and back end which are the most boring parts of the current c6
