We really haven’t heard much from the three EV’s Dodge unveiled earlier this year. The cars just sort of popped up and faded into the background buzz surrounding the supposed merger talks between Chrysler and GM. Or Nissan. Or the federal government. The most exciting of the ‘lectrics popped it’s head out of the corporate shell to go head to head with the SRT8 Challenger in the parking lot of the Rose Bowl stadium. The sprite little EV is powered by a potent 268 horse motor that delivers all 408 lb-ft of its torque the instant the accelerator goes down. The Challenger, on the other hand, is rocking a full 425 horses and 420 lb-ft of torque thanks to the 6.1-liter Hemi V8 out front. The race isn’t a full quarter mile, but you get the idea. You can judge for yourself what the video after the jump says about both cars. [Source: MotorAuthority]

The Challenger driver couldn’t have sand-bagged any more if a hurricane was about to hit his house.
