08a1 25 Hours of Thunderhill: The End of the Beginning

The action was fast, furious and sadly short-lived on day one at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The weather was balmy. And the cars were killer. While there were many to choose from, I think the blue and orange wide-body 944 you’re looking at might be one of my favorites. I got a thing for flared fenders and Chief Illiniwek. If you like Miatas is this ever your race. You can see two of Evil Genius’s ITA Spec Miatas hard charging the Porsche. And those were two of like two dozen — if not more. Oh yeah — why “short-lived?” The fog rolled in. Of course Judge Martin and I aren’t suckers, so by the time Autoblog Damon texted us that the race had been suspended, we were on our third martini. Tee hee hee. Why’d we leave so early (besides the Martinis then later sushi and whiskey)? Tomorrow’s the LeMons Junkyard Scavenger Hunt, yo! Below you’ll find a gallery showcasing the crazy variety of rides that roll Thunderhill. Enjoy!

  1. Evil Genius says:

    That isn’t a 944, it’s a Corvette with a 944 body draped over it, really, it’s called the ‘Porvette’
