dodgelemansx Fun with Computers: Dodge Challenger Le Mans

I don’t like the Dodge Challenger. In fact, I would go so far as to say it’s the most disappointing car I’ve driven in the past 12 months. It’s way to slow and ponderous to justify it’s 425 hp. I’ve heard that the R/T with the shift-it yourself transmission is the car to get, but I want the big Hemi! Anyhow, not one of my faves. But look at this! A Swedish design firm calledĀ Vizualtech wanted to show off their rendering chops and came up with these Challenger Le Mans cars. Sexy. According to my pal Damon Lavrinc at Autoblog, all the necessary go-fast bits are present and counted for (carbon fiber wing, carbon fiber diffusers, carbon fiber splitters, etc). All we know is, this sucker looks mean. And check that Swedish flag. So yeah, Le Mans Challenger. Grrr. Wait, Le Mans? I think it goes without saying that if NASCAR cars looked like this… Also, Vizualtech is saying that these renderings are just the beginning: more coming next week. Stay tuned. Dodge does make a manual version of the Challenger SRT8 if you just HAVE to drive the bigger motor.

However, it is my experience that the 5.7 is a better engine than the 6.1.

This thing looks great. Now they need to do one for the Camaro and Mustang and we can relive the 60’s racing scene all over again.

Having driven the 2009 SRT8, I can say this will all certainty…
