About twenty years ago, Lancia was considered a pretty successful brand. Nowadays, they sell nicely in Italy and very little (or not at all) in other countries. In the late 1980s, Lancia’s big “rep car” — that’s a D-segment sedan or hatch — was the Thema. And as you can see, it looks a hell of a lot like a Saab 9000. And the two also shared may common components and the floorpan with the Alfa Romeo 164 and the Fiat Chroma. While some great engines were available for the Thema, including a 2.0 turbocharged 4-banger with 200 horsepower and a 175 hp 3.0 liter V6, it wasn’t enough for Lancia. They wedged in Ferrari’s 3.0 liter V8. It was sideways, because the Thema is front wheel drive. And? It made only 215 hp, which was appropriate for a late 1980s V8, but my god, does it sound fantastic. We’ve got a video after the link that you owe it to your ears to watch.

Is it possible to include the specific year of the car in question (especially when you include a photo)? I’m running out of Adderall.
