370 1 Video: Motor Trend Has Its Way With The 370Z

How’d the new Zed do in the hands of Trend crew? Very well. While some publications have said the 370Z is only capable of a disappointing 5-second naught to 60 blast, MT was able to pull a 4.7 second run out of the car. That spec sits the coupe well within eye-dotting range of the Porsche Cayman S, which usually clocks a time of around 5 seconds itself. The Z also managed to dust the quarter in 13.3 seconds at 105.7 mph. That’s good and all, but this car’s skid pad numbers are what take the cake. Try an average .99 g’s. Now that’s some stick. Looks like Nissan nailed all the right notes with this one, but will it have the guts to take the mighty Cayman S down a peg or two? My money’s on yes. [Source: eGMCarTech]

0-60 in 5 is disappointing now? SHEEEIIT. I must be getting old.

Ok. Maybe I needed a little context there. The 350Z could do the deed in 5.1, so the thought of a smaller, lighter car with more power only doing .1 better was pretty sad.

That said. If I could any of the rigs in my stable to hit that mark, I’d be in business.
