Fiends, it pains me more than you can know to say this, but Honda has cancelled the S2000 replacement, V8 and RWD plans. This is just something we’re all going to have to accept. That means this year will be the very last for my personal favorite hoon machine. It also means there will be no 7-Series fighter from Acura. While it’s true Honda has done just fine with front-wheel drive, four-cylinder and V6 engines for years, Hondaphiles know exactly what the company could be capable of, and for a brief moment it looked like it was going to try. Not so much anymore. [Source: Autocar via Autoblog]

I just spent some time in a yellow S2000 CR and I had a blast… even though the weather sucked while I had it, for a few brief periods of dry roads that car was lots of fun.
Oh wow that sucks. If any one was going to build a small high-reving V8, it would have been Honda. Not that I expected them to anyways.
When are they going to kill the S2000? It’s not exactly practical and it get’s crappy gas mileage for a I4.
