Bentley Brooklands Coupe

Bentley? Biofuel in this case means bioethanol. How that differs from regular ethanol I’m not totally sure (sugarbeets vs. corn?), but… Bentley? Look, the truth of the matter is that ethanol and cars don’t really mix. It’s a form of greenwashing, as there’s not much you need to do to an ICE car to make it run on ethanol. And according to a report from Inside Line, Bentely will not only be bringing a “biofuel concept” to Geneva come March, but wants to get their entire fleet prepped to run “green” before 2012. If I may… who wants a green Bentley? Put another way, if you had a flexfuel Bentley would you ever put anything but 93 octane in the tank? Maybe I’m grossly stereotyping here, but isn’t a big part of owning a 5,000 pound, 9 mpg ego-sled like a Speed GT is because your super-ego’s been silenced? Meaning, you really don’t give a mouse’s butt what others think of you and your $200,000 car. Or am I turned around here? Do you buy a Bentley because you only care what others think? Like Bentley, I’m pretty confused. [Source: Inside Line]

  1. The Duck says:

Isn’t that an ‘08 Bentley Brooklands in that picture? Well I guess I’d like mine in British Racing Green, that still counts. Actually I’m not sure if that is, there seems to be almost no difference visually between the Arnage and Brooklands.

774lb/ft of torque if it is the Brooklands though. To torque is good.
