I. Ultra-luxury brand Maybach will announce its latest creation, the Maybach Zeppelin, at the Geneva Motor Show. The new model gets two tone brown-and-Taiga Black paint, chrome 20s, and streamlined mirrors. The real story, however, is under the hood. The Zeppelin gets a 28 hp upgrade to make 640, while torques stay put at 738.  Also, there’s a $5,000 option that sticks a perfume ionizer in the interior. [Source: Autoweek]

II. Nicolas Sarkozy, the president of France, agreed to loan Renault 3 million Euros to stay afloat. The loan will be payed back over five years at 6 %. For the first time in a long time, America is a trend setter. [F1 Fanatics]

III. Lexus unveiled new performance gear for the  GS, IS, and soon-to-be-released IS C lines in Chicago. The cars get shocks, springs, a strut tower brace, chassis braces, a short-shift kit, a clutch kit and a stainless exhaust from TRD. If you have a dealer install the upgrades they come with their own 12-month warranty, which you can have transferred to the remainder of the new car warranty. [Source: Autoblog]

IV. A 2010 Acura TSX powered by a 280 hp V6 rolled onto the stage at the Chicago Auto Show. According to Acura, the beefy TSX is the first in a series of upgrades it will make to its lineup this year. The engine is the same as the one offered in the TL range, but in the TSX it’s only available with a five-speed slushbox. You do get the option to shift via paddles, but we still say a third pedal is a must. [Source: Car and Driver]

Vauxhall

V. Vauxhall, England’s GM, has released a new version of its VXR8 called the Bathurst S model. Based on the same car as the Pontiac G8, the new faster Vaux gets pushed by a blistering 552 hp. And you thought the G8 GXP was rad. [Source: Autocar]
