Let’s take a second from the glitz of Geneva and the globe-saving Toyota i MiEV to take a look at a Findish flick. Most of us know Eric Bana as the pretty boy that sends hearts aflutter every time he graces the silver screen. What we didn’t know is that the guy has held onto his first car – a 1974 XB Falcon – since picking it up when he was 15. What’s more, the guy recently built the car to take on the Targa Tasmania. Let’s just say it could have gone better. Love The Beast is the story of the car and Bana’s bizarre obsession with it, shot documentary style. There’s commentary from none other than Jeremy Clarkson, Jay Leno and oddly enough – Dr. Phil. Try not to let that last one be a downer. Odds are the film will strike a chord with every Fiend out there who has held onto a P.O.S. longer than they should have. The film debuts March 12 in Australia, with no word as to if or when it’ll show up in the states. Trailer after the jump. [Source: LovetheBeast via IEDEI]

i remember this trailer on Jalopnik awhile back… this movie looks like it is going to be amazing.
Great story – Great car… you could post this once a day and I would still enjoy it.
I’ve got to say I’m smitten. If the film doesn’t show up stateside I’ll probably have to scour the torrents for a copy.
Then I will scour my wallet to buy a burned copy from you…
