Behold: 2010 BMW 5-Series GT

The boys and girls at BMW have finally gotten around to rolling out their “PAS” – that’s Progressive Activity Sedan, or massive friggin’ hatch, in plain English. The car is set to roll out stateside next year and looks a lot like the Concept BMW unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show back in March. Despite its epic 16.3-foot length, ze German carmaker has only made room for four occupants. A sweet dual-action tail gate out back is nifty if not necessary. Europe gets the first crack at the new mega-hatch, and when it goes on sale in October, it should be available with three different motors. Those range from a 245-horse turbo-diesel to a more serious 407-horsepower V8. Sweet. [Source: BMW]
