While I was poking around for a little more information on the Spitfire I’m headed to see this afternoon, I was reminded of another Mark III – the 1992 Toyota Eagle Mark III. See, back in ’92, IMSA was the do all to end all of racing glory, and few cars performed as well as this sucker. Powered by a turbo 2.1-liter four pot, the Eagle churned out a blistering 750 horsepower. All those ponies were good enough for the Toyota to take the checkers in 23 of the 27 races it competed in. Fiendish.
