As you’ve probably heard by now, Guvna Lutz is back in action at General Motors. That means we’re not only guaranteed more gems straight from the horse’s mouth, but you can bet we’ll have a better eye toward what goes on behind closed doors in the new company. The latest bit to trickle down from Detroit’s Ivory Tower is that the Pontiac G8 will live on under the Bow Tie banner. Despite what freshly-minted CEO Fritz Henderson would have us believe, Lutz is saying the car’s just too damn good to let the Feds talk it into oblivion. Lutz has been quoted saying the G8 will become the next-generation Caprice, while the much-celebrated G8 GXP may be less fortunate. That car will likely only see law-enforcement duty or a limited production run. Shucks. [Source: MotorAuthority]

I need: either V8 and a 6MT.
I want: above, in wagon form.
+1 to the want, but as my grandfather always said, “It ain’t your needs that keep you broke, boy.”
