xj new Meet the 2010 XJ

Turns out Jaguar’s pulled the sheets of the 2010 XJ. As expected, the company’s new saloon rocks the same face as the much ballyhooed XF, resulting in a much more up to date look for an industry icon. Long gone are the ancient lines that made up the original cat, for better or worse. While I personally had no problems with the svelte luxury whip, the updated looks are likely to raise an eyebrow or two and put the mark back where it belongs on buyers’ radars. Supposedly the new shape is the slipperiest to ever roll out of Jaguar’s shop, bragging a .29 drag coefficient. What’s more, the tech gleaned from the last XJ’s aluminum chassis means this sucker’s light enough despite its size. Under the new, sexy hood is your choice of three mills. The first is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 380 torques, followed by a blown version of the same block with 470 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. The last, and most exciting option is an enlivened version of the same supercharged 5.0 engine, churning out 510 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque. Well done. [Source: Autoblog]
