Sorry, we couldn’t resist. Bad alliteration aside, Chip Foose, design wonder boy and car builder extraordinaire, has delivered his latest Foose Coupe to its wealthy lucky owner. An exercise in combining all that there is to love about the old school hot rod and supercar technology, the car is slick as can be. The Coupe utilizes a carbon-fiber monocoque and a mid-engine design to keep weight down and deliver impressive handling. So, what’s under that gorgeous hood? Try a 6.7-liter Hemi with close to 500 horsepower. Weighing in at close to 2,300 lbs, the car has a better power to weight ratio that the Ferrari 430, and in our humble opinion, it looks better too. The car is coated in the kind of attention to detail that only Foose can deliver, including a custom flame job by the man himself. Want one? Odds are you’re going to have to wait until an owner ponies his up. There are only 50 of these rigs being produced, and considering the first hit Barrett-Jackson’s auction block at $330,000, we don’t expect resale to go down.
