I’m having a bit too much fun with the headlines, I know. Anyhow, the boys at Jalopnik are in a tizzy over the latest set of spy-ish Camaro pics to grace the internets. Like the also captured down unda Pontiac G8 GXP the Camaro mule has big fat “LEFT HAND DRIVE” stickers plastered all over its backside. The biggest tizzy-inducer however, is the mail slot above the grill. Jalopnik thinks IT COULD BE KITT!!! it might indicate this is the Camaro SS convertible, complete with a burbly 422 hp V8. The twin pipes most likely mean V8, though since it’s most likely an auto figure on the slightly weaker 400 hp L99 motor. Pretty sweet either way, bro. Though, hacking the top off a 3,750 car will probably add another 200 pounds of structural reinforcements, making the car 2-tons of fun (or not). Still, there’s little chance the Camaro will feel as fat and as bloated (and slow) as the Challenger SRT-8 we drove the other week. No word yet on what Jalopnik’s going to do once the Camaro is finally on sale. We’ll keep you posted. [Winky wink to Jalopnik]
