lamboart1 Why The Poor Hate The Rich: Lamborghini Countach Hung On Wall

Not just any wall, mind you. No, this perfectly good 1984 Lamborghini Countach is being hung on Richard Moriarty’s wall. Who? You know, Richard Moriarty, heir to Orange County’s South Coast Plaza fortune. First he removed the engine and built a “200 mph Coffee Table” for guests that like their drinks (coffee?) “shaken not stirred.” Aside from the fact that a Countach could maybe do 171 mph pointed downhill, the James Bond quote’s a bit precious even for someone that hangs a Lambo on his wall. I do like the fact that as kids, all us 30-something Fiends had a poster of a black Countach on the same wall as Cathy Ireland and Cindy Crawford, so maybe he’s just getting back in touch with his inner teenager. Still, this may be a bit much. The above pic is workers lowering the Countach through the skylight of Moriarty’s new $2 million Newport Beach home. Which begs a bigger question: what kind of a tar paper shack goes for a measly $2 mil in the OC? [funhunter.com]

[...] DBS costs. Also, It makes us nauseous just to look at the battered Aston. Yeah, it’d make a great wall hanging, but what else could you do with it? In closing, we’re sick all around. [Source: [...]
