subaru Diesel Subarus Coming To Paris Motor Show

We’ve got a lot of faith in turbo oil burners. Seems like engineers have an easier time getting drivable power and great fuel economy out of the fuel that America forgot. Subaru plans to show off its newest turbo diesel boxer at next month’s Paris motor show. According to the company, the engine should be capable of 145 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque while cranking out a combined 36 mpg. Now that’s progress, kids. Subaru will show off both a turbo-diesel Impreza and Forester at the show. In many ways, a diesel Subaru makes sense. Just image the elation in places like Boulder or Juneau when they’ll finally be able to dump veggie oil into their Subies. But, will the oil burners make it to the U.S. market? Only Fuji Heavy Industries knows for sure — and they ain’t saying.
