veritas-main Someones Getting Fired: Veritas RS III Proto Smashed

A couple of conniving gents managed to talk a Veritas RS III prototype out of its show room and into their hands, at least long enough to ram it into a light pole. This poses a couple of hard questions, say, how two guys managed to fit into the single seater. Or better yet, who has the powers of persuasion to convince a salesman in Moenchengladbach, Germany it’s a good idea to let them anyone near the car. The Veritas RS III prides itself on being a pure driving experience, ditching any and all driving aids, right down to anti-lock brakes. With a robust, 473 hp V10 kicking the rear wheels with all its fury, that had to be one hell of a ride. No one is saying the $500,000 proto is totaled, just mangled. We don’t know which is worse. As for the hellians behind the wheel, they tried to run, but German Po-po nabbed them eventually. No word how they’re going to pay for the damages. [MotorAuthority]
