Sorry for the break with reports from Tanner Foust’s European Vacation, but it seems he’s been busy and apparently Speed TV’s budget for the Supercars Exposed episodes he’s been filming over there doesn’t cut to finer hotels with internet access. Still we can’t feel bad for him. In fact even though he’s (most of the time) an easy guy to like, we are beginning to dislike him slightly again. Read on…

We’re roughly 5 or 6, or 7 days into the Supercars Exposed Euro trip and so far we’ve sampled a lot of goods:  I’ve ripped up the Italian countryside in the Lambo Reventon, Murcielago and LP 560; Drifted Pagani’s back roads in a 750 hp Zonda F; and tasted the greats from a Lamborghini collection, but we still haven’t made it to the Nurburgring yet.  Today we didn’t make it there either (insert the “Debbie Downer” sound from Saturday Night Live). But we did blast the Audi R8 through the Austrian Alps!

… and hung out with a German Playboy model who drifts!

…and drove this Ferrari 599 GTB 311 km/h (194mph) on the Autobahn!

…and then gave it back to its owner. The boyfriend! (Debbie Downer). On the track I did some tandem drifting with the German Champ, Johan, in his M5 V8 powered Opel wagon…  Sweet…

We wrapped the day with a blast up to Munich to return the R8, some brats and some sleep; tomorrow is a big day, I’ll be earning the privilege to drive our next press car building an AMG 6.3 engine at the factory!
