veyrondirt1 Uber Bugatti Veyron GT Would Like Its Crown Back

A couple of years ago a Bugatti Veyron went 253 mph. Since then  the SSC Ultimate Aero TT went 257 mph. And just to kick sand in Bugatti’s regal eye, some Porsche tuner called the 9ff GT9 has travelled at 254 mph. Well, no more. According to a leaked memo, there’s one final Veyron variant scheduled before the fastest ever Volkswagen is put out to pasture. They’re calling it the Veyron GT, and this time out it’s 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 will be cranking out a stupid-silly 1,350 horsepower and 1,018 lb-ft of torque. Top speed? Should be 264 mph. Even kookier, 0-60 happens in 2.4 seconds. And because of new carbon ceramic brakes, 60-0 happens in 2.2 seconds. However, what if you already shelled out $1.8 million for a boring old 253 mph Veyron? Not to worry. The same pilfered memo states that existing cars can be brought up to GT spec. Plus, if you financed your Bugatti through Lehman or Merril, you might be done with your payments. [Source: Motor Authority]
