We’ve been clamoring for a Nissan/Porsche cage match ever since the German company cried foul on the GT-R’s Nurburgring now infamous ( but slower than a ZR-1 and/or Viper ACR) lap time. The guys at HEAD 2 HEAD have lined up two tuner specials at Willow Springs to give us what we asked for, at least in theory. Here are the specs: Cobb Tuning has cranked the GT-R’s ghusto up to a heavenly 600 horses and 580 lb-ft of torque while the TechArt Porsche sports 630 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of twisty. Anyone else think TechArt’s claimed 630 figure was unicorn power?
That guy from TechArt talks too much. Not only did their 997 got beat here but also by the Mine’s GT-R in M/T.
This was entertaining, but I would be much more interested in seeing how the Amuse Phantom GT-R would pound a 997.
That front bumper on the Porsche is horrible… I really wished that would have recorded the reaction on the face of the TechArt guy when the GT-R killed his company car in the hot lap and the drag race.. he was just so sure that he was going to win..hahaha. His car got killed by something with less power more weight and over half the cost…hahahaha… that is priceless!
