If you’re a Honda/Acura fanboy like me, you probably just wet yourself. Thanks to Spoon’s tuning magic, your left-hand drive NSX can be converted into the master of the R empire, the NSX Type R. The trimmings include a reworked suspension, slotted brake rotors, a remapped ECU and best of all, a serious diet. Spoon plans to lay carbon fiber on the mid-engine terror in all the right places, serving up a slimmed down ride to the tune of 2,800 lbs. Oh yes. Other tricks include all flat underbody panels, a rear diffuser and sway bars the size of my arm. No word on when Spoon plans to start letting these things loose, but they’ve shipped over a JDM 600 horse twin turbo number to drum up some interest for the Type Rs and fan the flames for the 2011 NSX. Sweet car gods do we want one of these. [JPCN]
