While Marcus Gronholm’s Olsbergs MSE team mate, Andreas Eriksson cut his Pikes Peak attempt short just a couple of miles in, the World Rally Master Champion did complete the course even though a blown turbo just 500 feet shy of the finish scuppered any chance of a win. The good folks at Ford Racing filmed the run in all of its glory and here it is. Think about this, when Gronholm is dancing on the edge of the road there’s about 4000 feet of air before he crashes into the pines below the tree line. This is an epic video of a valiant first attempt at the Peak. They will be back next year with another attempt to crack the ten minute record and Monster Tajima should watch out.
