2010 GT500

Remember way back when I jumped in as a juror for the Internet Car and Truck of the Year? After intense deliberations, my fellow interweb scribes and myself have finally come up with a list of semifinalists for the coveted top slots in each category. What are they? You’ll have to hop over to the award site for a look see on that one. Come tomorrow, you and everyone else with an opinion can choose between our picks and the votes will be tallied for the overall winner. So hop on over to the site, see what’s what and let us know what you think.

I’m surprised the 370Z didn’t make the car list.

That said, I concur with your implied car vote.

I can’t help but notice the list of trucks only contains 1 truck.

Should be an easy selection process.

With all due respect Zach. It’s hard to take the site seriously… You seriously need a designer to add some polish stylize, brand and clean up some of the syntax to create continuity. And the icing on the cake? The Powered by GoDaddy! I mean no offense at all (in fact respect you and your work), but Godaddy is the place where people go when they don’t know where to go… It’s like a U.S. Ford Focus with a huge wing faux ports and all.

  3. BlueBrat says:

I have to agree with NATE, the site is so bad it looks like a scam site. Doesn’t portray confidence of a serious endeavor.

  4. Nate says:

Zach, contact me if you’d desire some assistance in making the site more professional. Or have it built on a WordPress framework (GoDaddy will support this… for extra money!), this way people can chime in all web 2.0 style.

  5. Nate and BlueBrat-
Don’t blame Zach for the website. He’s just one of our excellent jurors and not responsible for design! It’s a new venture on a small budget and I have little web design background. Just like most of us have to drive a beater for our first car, we’re driving a U.S. Ford Focus (but seriously, I’d never add a huge wing or faux ports).
Feel free to contact me directly through the website. I welcome all constructive criticism. But don’t blame Zach. He’s an innocent bystander.
BTW, if you think this site is ugly, you should have seen the original one …
The important thing is your vote is cast – not that the polling place was a little rundown.

Keith! Thanks for the info. Certainly not blaming anyone, was looking to be on the constructive criticism side of things…

The thing is, I’m all about grass-roots and ALWAYS want to have the little dog win (at least give the big dogs a run for the money!!!). And boy do I know about beaters! I’ve had 4 DSM’s. I want to help… n8

  7. I see that the new GT500KR is pictured above for this award. While it is a great car, you might want to check out the link below before you cast your vote for that car.
