Roll back the clock to the early sixties and the world was embroiled in a genuine car rivalry. Well, maybe “world” and “embroiled” are a little extreme, but good old boy Carol Shelby and his band of hoons were growing increasingly problematic for Enzo Ferrari. Yes, that Enzo Ferrari. See, once upon a long time ago, Ferrari slighted good Mr. Shelby, and as a result, the Texan set out to jerk a not in the Italian’s tail. The battle would culminate in the construction of the mighty Cobra – eventually causing Ferrari to slink away from more than a few key motorsports arenas.
